Adjustable Air Amplifiers

Adjustable Air Amplifier from Nex Flow™ are used for a variety of applications - available in either coated aluminum or Stainless Steel for high temperature or corrosive environments.
Adjustable Air Amplifier are easy to mount and maintain. Compressed air consumption and noise levels are reduced.
Adjustable Air Amplifier take energy from a small volume of compressed air to produce high velocity, high volume, low pressure output airflow.
Adjustable Air Amplifier is quiet, efficient and can amplify flows up to 17 times the input air consumption rate.

Air Booster and Air Pressure Amplifiers:
An Air Amplifier is an Air Booster. They convert pressure to flow and are “flow” amplifiers. They are NOT Air Pressure Amplifiers.

Dust Collection System and Vent Smoke and Fumes:
Air amplifiers have been used as a dust collection system and to vent smoke and fumes from all types of equipment.

Dry Air Coolers:
Air amplifiers can be used as dry air coolers by blowing amplified airflow onto tubes of hot gas (normally air) to cool them.

Part Ejection System and Chip Removal System and Part Drying System :
Air Jets and Air Nozzles are excellent as a Part Ejection System, Chip Removal System and as a Part Drying System when air knives or amplifiers are not suitable.

How Adjustable Air Amplifiers Work

Adjustable Air Amplifier
Adjustable Air Amplifier – A large volume of surrounding air is induced into the amplifier at point (A) by the action of a small amount of compressed air which enters the annular chamber at point (B) that is then throttled through a small ring nozzle at high velocity and into the inside of the amplifier over a coanda profile.   The compressed air stream clings to the coanda profile as it enters the inside walls of the amplifier creating a vacuum that induces the outside air converting the pressure into amplified airflow.  The amplified airflow leaves at the exit at point (C).   Airflow is further amplified downstream at point (D) by entraining additional air from the surroundings at the exit.

Adjustable Air Amplifier Ducting:

Both the inlet (vacuum intake) and discharge ends may be ducted for light material and fume conveying applications. Care must be taken to avoid unnecessary restrictions that will cause back pressure or suction resistance that will reduce performance levels. Keep back pressure and resistance to under 2" of water column.

More about Nex Flow Products

The Nex Flow™ Air Amplifiers  take compressed air and entrain surrounding air to amplify Air Flow downstream. Often called “Air Movers” they move a tremendous amount of air utilizing the “coanda” effect.  The downstream air produced has high velocity and “laminar flow” for strong blow-off an cleaning power.

Advantages:

  • No Moving Parts
  • Quiet
  • Compact
  • Portable
  • No Electricity
  • Low in Cost
  • Superior in Design and Performance

Four versions are available

Heavy Duty Standard “Fixed Gap” Air Amplfifiers  are protective coated, cast zinc and aluminum units which are rugged for factory environments.  Some manufacturers produce inferior machined aluminum versions claiming physically impossible amplification ability.

Nex Flow™  Standard Air Amplifiers  prove over and over to be better made, with greater efficiency and with honest claims of performance.  Stainless Steel shims fix th “air gap” and additional shims may be added for increased output.
More and more companies replace competitive units with the more powerful and efficient

Nex Flow™ units.  Units are designed to mount easily onto equipment with built in mounting holes

Anodized Aluminum Adjustable Air Amplifiers with Gauged Markings are exactly how they are described, adjustable and light weight and used in many OEM applications.

These durable units come with an optional Stainless Steel mounting bracket (1-1/4” and 2” sizes) for easy mounting.  Most others do not even anodize their parts!

Nex Flow™  units are anodized and ever lower in cost than competitors!

Applications:

  • Remove water, coolant, dust and scrap in parts manufacturing/assembly operations.
  • Cool enamel and water based paints in parts manufacturing, auto body shops or assembly lines.
